Progress of Retained Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill 2022

The Retained Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill 2022, which was published and had its first reading 22 September 2022 by the short-lived Truss government, was designed to remove “needless bureaucracy” and to generate investment and innovation. The Bill has been variously named as the “Sunset Bill”, the “Brexit Freedoms Bill” and the “EU Bonfire Bill”.
