The case outlined below makes for sombre reading, as indicated by the judge, Poole J, in his opening words. It is yet another example of a situation in which the family of a severely ill infant do not agree with the care proposed by the doctors caring for him, and as a consequence, it is necessary to seek a ruling of a judge of the Family Court about the future of the child.
