Opening speeches

The first day of the IFRS Foundation’s 2022 conference began with Erkki Liikanen, chair of the IFRS Foundation Trustees, who spoke about the creation of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). His opening remarks were followed by the first keynote address, given by Ashley Alder, board chair of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), which is playing a significant role in supporting the ISSB.
