Report on lower limb negligence claims by NHS Resolution

NHS Resolution has published a report on lower limb claims in England, the majority of which have involved amputations arising from diabetes. After analysing these clinical negligence claims, NHS Resolution has identified several themes and made recommendations which it is hoped will contribute significantly to improving patient safety, if implemented, and help to reduce expenditure by the NHS on clinical negligence claims.
