Adult claims under the 1975 Act – Batstone v Batstone

(the 1975 Act) will know that trials are uncommon. Due to the broad and unpredictable nature of the jurisdiction, these disputes
are fraught with litigation risk, the corollary of which is that resolution is more often than not reached by way of compromise
rather than judicial determination.
