Navigating maritime cyber security with effective risk management

Professor Kevin Jones, of the University of Plymouth, warns the maritime industry is underestimating the risk of the cyber threat

Since the onset of the pandemic, we have witnessed a ripple effect of delays and disruption across the global supply chain. In light of China’s latest lockdown measures in March 2022 and the war in Ukraine, the turmoil looks likely to persist. Yet, there may be another threat to the logistics network that is failing to receive due attention. That is, cyber risk to the maritime industry.
