Hughes v Pritchard and Others [2022] EWCA Civ 386 was an appeal in a probate and estoppel claim. The curious reader need not progress far into the case to ascertain its importance; Asplin LJ (with whom Moylan and Elisabeth Laing LJJ agreed) informs us of it in the first sentence of her judgment:
