SIRIUSPOINT INVESTS IN CRYPTO INSURTECH

Bermuda-based re/insurer SiriusPoint has invested in Lukka, an institutional crypto data and software provider. Lukka was founded in 2014, and its customers include crypto asset exchanges and trading desks, accounting firms, fund and financial auditors, fund administrators, miners, individuals, and businesses interacting with crypto assets. The exact size of Siriuspoint’s investment was not disclosed, but Lukka’s most recent round of financing raised $110m, valuing the company at more than $1.3bn. “The crypto and blockchain industries are constantly maturing, rapidly being adopted as a part of the mainstream economy by investors, and opening new doors,” said Ming Zhang, chief investment officer of SiriusPoint.
