FCA PROPOSES 'MARKET-CHANGING' NEW CONSUMER DUTY

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has proposed new rules to tackle the causes of harmful practices among regulated firms, including insurers and brokers. The proposed rules include the introduction of a new consumer duty, which the FCA said it hopes will “drive a fundamental shift in industry mindset”.
