In this application, the claimants were challenging the alleged failure by the defendants to protect care home residents in England from the risk of harm or even death during the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The main focus in this appeal before Lord Justice Bean and Mr Justice Garnham was on the admissibility of evidence of opinion from suitably qualified experts.
