There has been a sizeable amount of policy making activity in the intellectual property sphere in Singapore over 2021. Among the most recent and impactful changes are the Copyright Bill 2021, modernising the existing Copyright Act 2006 into the current digital age; and the Intellectual Property (Amendment) Act 2021, simplifying and enhancing administrative processes for trademark, patent, registered design and plant varieties protection.
