AIPPI 2021: Careful optimism

If the provisional application phase takes about eight months,there was careful optimism that the Unified Patent Court (UPC) will becomeoperational by the end of 2022 or early 2023. So said the chairman of the UPC’sPreparatory Committee Alexander Ramsay, speaking at a presentation on the UPCat the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property’s(AIPPI) virtual annual conference hosted from 15 September to 22 September.
