ZAFFINO NAMED AS NEXT AIG CHAIR

AIG has announced Peter Zaffino is to take over as chairman of the company’s board of directors when executive chairman, Brian Duperreault, retires at the end of the year. Zaffino is already president of the company and chief executive, having assumed those positions from Duperreault in March. From the start of 2022 Duperreault will become a non-officer employee of AIG, providing advice to the chief executive. “The AIG board of directors has great confidence in Peter’s ability to continue executing on AIG’s transformation and growth strategy designed to create long-term, sustainable value,” Doug Steenland, lead independent director, said.
