United States - Pop star Mariah Carey is trying to stop porn star Mary Carey from trademarking her name, claiming that fans could get the two performers confused. Mary, whose real last name is Cook, is trying to trademark her stage name for ‘audio and video recording’ purposes and says that she refuses to be intimidated by the pop star. “I’m ready to battle Mariah over this because I’ve been Mary Carey for a long time,” she said. Mary hasn’t had much luck lately; having failed in her attempt to be governor of California, eventually losing out to Arnold Schwarzenegger.
