Claims Direct’s first results since flotation are expected to be well ahead of earlier expectations due to a marked increase
in caseload. Taking 4,000 claims monthly in July, this had rise to 5,000 by September, representing about 15% of inquiries
received. This year’s total of cases is forecast at 48,000; 1999’s total was 31,000.
