FCA’s Regulatory Decisions Committee to pass simpler cases to staff

The majority of the FCA’s regulatorydecisions could be made by staff in the Authorisations, Supervision and EnforcementDivisions from next year. The regulator is currently consulting on the proposal,which is aimed at letting its Regulatory Decisions Committee (RDC) concentrateon a relatively small number of “significant misconduct cases”, where the FinancialConduct Authority believes “that the subject should be penalised for thefailure”.
