Traffic fumes
No direct insurance implications – as yet. Analysis of data from Austria, France and Switzerland by an international team
led by Dr Nino Kunzli of the University of Basel, published in
The Lancet
of September 2000, indicates that traffic fumes kill 40,000 people a year in those countries, and a proportionate number elsewhere.
