AIG NAMES PURTILL AS CHIEF RISK OFFICER

Global re/insurer AIG has appointed Sabra Purtill as executive vice-president and chief risk officer to oversee its corporate risk management strategy on an enterprise-wide basis. She will also serve as a member of the AIG executive leadership team. Based in New York, Purtill will report directly to AIG president and chief executive Peter Zaffino. With AIG since 2019, she has served as interim chief risk officer since February after having served as deputy chief financial officer. Prior to joining, she had served as senior vice-president of investor relations and treasurer at Hartford Financial Services. Prior to that, she served as managing director of investors relations & communications at Assured Guaranty and as a corporate finance officer at Ace.
