First multiparty action under Consumer Protection Act
A claim for damages from 112 people, infected with hepatitis C through blood transfusion, blood products or organ transplant,
has commenced in the High Court. The claims are brought against the National Blood Authority (in England) and Velindre NHS
Trust (in Wales).
