Workers’ Rights

New workers’ watchdog created to protect workers’ rights

The government has announced the creation of a new workers’ watchdog to protect workers’ rights and clamp down on workplace abuse. The comprehensive new authority will have responsibility for tackling modern slavery, enforcing the minimum wage and protecting agency workers, which are currently spread across three different bodies.
