HUB INTERNATIONAL ACQUIRES PETE WEBB AGENCY IN VIRGINIA

North American broking group Hub International has acquired the broking assets of Pete Webb Agency, a Virginia-based intermediary providing personal and commercial insurance services, including home, motor, life and business. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Pete Webb was previously part of the exclusive distribution network of Nationwide Mutual Insurance, which has transitioned to an independent broker model. Pete Webb and his team will join Hub Mid-Atlantic and maintain their existing offices in Fredericksburg. Hub said the acquisition was the latest to complement and strengthen its personal insurance solutions business. Hub has acquired more than 20 agencies that were previously part of Nationwide’s exclusive distribution network.
