GUY CARPENTER MAKES SENIOR NON-MARINE SPECIALTY APPOINTMENTS

Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has appointed James Johns as managing director within its non-marine specialty division, effective August 12. Based in London, Johns will operate as a leading broker and account executive specialising in property risk and catastrophe reinsurance solutions for a broad range of direct and facultative clients. Johns joins from Willis Re where he was an executive director specialising in London market property reinsurance. Joshua O’Donoghue also joins Guy Carpenter’s non-marine specialty unit as senior vice president and account executive, effective November 8. O’Donoghue will be a senior broker and account executive, focusing on property retrocession, as well as direct and facultative reinsurance placements. He joins from Aon where he was a non-marine retrocession broker and prior to this was a US property reinsurance broker at Willis Re.
