AMWINS ACQUIRES MT DONAHOE & ASSOCIATES

US specialty wholesale broker Amwins has acquired MT Donahoe & Associates (MTDA), a Maryland-based general agent specialising in employee benefits and services. MTDA will join Amwins’ group benefits division while MTDA president Michael Donahoe will join the leadership team of Amwins Connect. Becky Patel, chief executive of Amwins Connect, said: “This partnership further enables our mission to seamlessly connect every point of the benefits journey for brokers, carriers and their clients.” Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Amwins provided property and casualty products, specialty group benefit products, and administrative services to US retail brokers. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
