HAMILTON NAMES HOWIE CFO

Bermudian carrier Hamilton Insurance Group has hired Craig Howie as group chief financial officer (CFO). Howie was most recently CFO at Everest Re, a company where he spent nine years. He has also held several senior positions at Munich Re America. He succeeds Tony Ursano, who was the carrier’s financial chief for almost two years. Ursano plans to set up an insurance and insurtech business. Pina Albo, Hamilton's group chief executive, said that the carrier will be able to benefit from Howie’s “depth and breadth of talent” to complement the strength of the existing workforce. Howie’s appointment is effective mid-July, upon Ursano’s departure.
