RESOLUTION AND ASHBROOKE ACQUIRE SPORTSCOVER EUROPE

Resolution Underwriting and Ashbrooke Group have acquired the European operations of sports and leisure managing general agent (MGA) Sportscover Australia. The two acquired MGAs – Sportscover Europe and Active Underwriting Specialists – will add "significantly capability and expertise" to Resolution and Ashbrooke. The companies, and the SEL and Active brands, will continue to operate independently. Resolution has facilities in place for the businesses to trade compliantly in the post-Brexit environment. Sportscover Australia said the sales would allow it to focus more closely on growth across Asia-Pacific and North America. The transaction value has not been disclosed and is subject to regulatory approval.
