ALLIANT AGREES TO ACQUIRE FELLOW US BROKER CONFIE
US broker Alliant Insurance Services has agreed to acquire Confie in a move that strengthens the 10th largest US broker with
the addition of the largest US personal-lines broker. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 2008 as Confie Seguros,
Confie initially focused on providing motor insurance to the Hispanic community. It was acquired by Boston-based private equity
firm Abry Partners in 2012 and has since grown into a group with 3,500 employees working out of 750 offices in 23 states.
Confie’s brands include Freeway Insurance, InsureOne, Bluefire Insurance, Baja Auto Insurance and USAgencies. As part of Alliant,
Confie chief executive Cesar Soriano and his entire team will continue to serve customers under the Confie brand.
