HILB ACQUIRES STAR INSURANCE AGENCY

US insurance broker The Hilb Group (THG) has acquired Indiana-based Star Insurance Agency, effective on March 1, 2021. Star Insurance Agency is a full-service agency providing personal and commercial insurance and employee benefits. As a part of the transaction, Leslee Robinson, Billy Davenport, and the Star Insurance team will join THG of Indiana. Ricky Spiro, chief executive of Richmond, Virginia-based THG, said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Star Insurance Agency to our expanding team at THG,”. THG is part of global investment firm Carlyle Group. The company has completed more than 100 acquisitions and now has over 100 offices in 20 states.
