Legal Focus: Mexico’s passive administration gives little to insurers

Andrés Manuel López Obrador was elected president of Mexico in December 2018. His administration heralded a new era of socialist government for the country and before his election he announced policies to increase spending on public infrastructure projects, provide financial safety nets for the poor and root out corruption among officials across Mexico.
