D&O MGA RISING EDGE SET TO LAUNCH

Rising Edge, a new managing general agent that will write directors’ and officers’ (D&O) liability insurance, is set to launch in the first half of 2021. Based in London, the company will offer what it described as the full spectrum of D&O coverage – offering primary and low-attachment cover for a breadth of different companies, from those with US-listed securities or international exposures to private businesses. Rising Edge will be led by chief executive, Philippe Gouraud, with Yoel Brightman as managing director. Gouraud has held various senior underwriting and distribution roles at Axa XL (formerly XL Catlin) and AIG. Brightman was previously product manager of management liability at Axa XL where he was responsible for the development of the portfolio and underwriting strategy.
