OHIO APPOINTS FRENCH AS INSURANCE DIRECTOR

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has appointed former Ohio Supreme Court justice Judith French as director of the state’s Department of Insurance. DeWine made the appointment after French lost re-election to the state’s high court in November. French is a “solid, good, smart, dedicated public servant” with “some background” in insurance, said DeWine. Previous director of insurance Jillian Froment stepped down last summer and was replaced by Tynesia Dorsey on an interim basis.
