Rules now published

The Civil Procedure Costs (Amendment No 3) Rules 2000 appeared on the website of the Lord Chancellor’s Department on 23 May, three weeks after they were intended to come into force. This date is now set for 3 July. The document also includes a substantial Revised Costs Practice Direction – not yet finalised. These form the new framework awaited by those planning to enter into conditional fee arrangements under the terms of the Regulations of 1 April.
