A certain lack of clarity was noticed in the 15th Edition of the Judicial College Guidelines on Personal Injury in a case concerning a claimant suffering from asbestosis at a disability level of 10 per cent who was awarded £32,000 in provisional damages. It was noted that it was unclear from the guidelines whether the suggested figures were for final awards or provisional awards.
