Viewpoint: To reap the Covid-19 dividend, the market must be more receptive to change

I wonder what would have happened, if any one of us, had sat in a board meeting in February and said: “Let’s shut the office, inform everyone they should work from home, stop all expenses, stop meeting clients and attending any conferences, tell all the brokers the Lloyd’s Underwriting Room is off limits and do all our broking over the phone and online. Let’s not plan it too much, try it for a year and let’s start… next month? Right, who agrees?”
