Gross negligence manslaughter

R v Broughton [2020] EWCA Crim 1093; [2020] Med LR 477

In an appeal against conviction for manslaughter by gross negligence, the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) held that the case should have been withdrawn from the jury. The issue was whether the evidence was capable of establishing causation to the criminal standard of proof.
