UK government puts off reform of corporate liability for economic crime

Three and a half years after calling for evidence on the need for reform of corporate liability for economic crime, the UK government reported on 3 November [2020] that in the absence of any “new significant examples” of problems with the existing law and the identification doctrine, its findings were “inconclusive”. Responses received had also given no clear steer on how to proceed.
