JAMES RIVER NAMES D’ORAZIO AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Bermudian re/insurer James River Group Holdings has appointed Frank D’Orazio as chief executive to succeed founder J Adam Abram, who retired on November 1. Abram is remaining with the group as non-executive board chair. With 30 years of industry experience, D’Orazio joins from Allied World Assurance, where he served for 17 years, most recently as chief operating officer and chief of staff. During his tenure there, he also served as president of underwriting and global risk and president of international insurance. Prior to Allied World, D’Orazio served with Munich Re America and Chubb, where he started his career as a casualty underwriter. The group also announced that Robert Myron is stepping down as a director but will remain in his current posts of president and chief operating officer.
