WILLIS TOWERS WATSON’S EARNINGS RISE
Aon said it expects to grow margins over the course of this year, a trend that will continue for the “foreseeable future”.
Aon reported strong third-quarter numbers compared with the same period last year, beating analyst consensus estimates. Its
third-quarter adjusted cash earnings per share rose to $1.53 from $1.45 for the similar quarter last year, against a consensus
of $1.49. The group’s reinsurance operations saw a rise in revenue of 10% for this period, driven by growth across treaty,
facultative and capital markets transactions. Organic revenue growth came to 13%. But this uptick was offset by a slight decrease
in revenues from the commercial risk solutions and retirement solutions operations. Total revenues were $2.4bn for the quarter,
flat compared with the same period last year.
