Fraudulent claim in UK discovered every five minutes

New data from the Association of British Insurers (ABI) has revealed that a fraudulent claim is discovered every five minutes. It showed that 107,000 fraudulent insurance claims worth £1.2 billion were uncovered by insurers in 2019. That is a fraudulent claim uncovered every five minutes, or 300 per day, with a daily value of £3.3 million, in addition to just over 2,000 dishonest applications being detected every day.
