Socio-economic Duty in Wales

One of the priorities for the Welsh Government is safeguarding equality and human rights, particularly in the context of Brexit, and a key part of this work is the commencement of the Socio-economic Duty. The Socio-economic Duty will come into force on 31 March 2021, and from September 2020 the Welsh Government, along with its partners, will be developing resources and engaging with stakeholders, including the NHS, to advise and support them in advance of the commencement of the duty and raising awareness on how the duty will work in practice.
