Compensation for family of mesothelioma victim

The family of a man who died in January 2005 as a result of mesothelioma have received a six figure sum in compensation. The man developed the disease whilst working as a shop fitter and joiner. He worked in a factory environment where asbestos sheets were cut using a machine saw. He was not provided with any respiratory protection and as a result was exposed to asbestos dust which resulted in his illness.
