Call for changes to General Product Safety Directive

BEUC, the European Consumer Organisation, and its sister organisation ANEC, the European consumer voice in standardisation, have issued recommendations on how to make the General Product Safety Directive (GPSD) fit for the 2020s. BEUC said it is an essential EU product safety law which dates back to 2001 and is not made for an era of online shopping and the Internet of Things.
