Personal injury litigation should not be a lottery, says Irish judge

A judge of the Irish Court of Appeal has said that personal injury litigation should not be a lottery and plaintiffs and defendants alike are entitled to reasonable consistency and predictability, pointing to the Book of Quantum. His comments came as he significantly reduced an award of damages from €76,000 to €41,000 for a whiplash injury.
