Settlement over baby’s death
A hospital trust has made an out-of-court settlement with the parents of a baby that died due to lack of oxygen during birth.
The baby suffered brain and kidney damage after a long delay in delivery because the only staffed emergency operating theatre
was occupied with another patient. The parents had undergone four years of fertility treatment.
