Workplace health and safety naming and shaming improves compliance

Research has suggested that naming and shaming companies over workplace health and safety can improve compliance in the surrounding area. Duke’s Sanford School of Public Policy in the US found that a single press release naming a company that has violated workplace health and safety regulations can result in a 73 per cent improvement in compliance by other facilities.
