A working group from the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has concluded that
combined estrogen-progestogen oral contraceptives and combined estrogen-progestogen menopausal therapy (also known as hormone
replacement therapy HRT) are carcinogenic to humans.
