£4mn for birth injuries

A teenage girl has been awarded £4mn damages for extremely severe injuries suffered during her birth when she was delivered by caesarean section at 31 weeks. She now suffers from cerebral palsy.The Court said that the caesarean birth at 31 weeks had been for no good clinical reason.
