ASPEN INSURANCE BOSS COHEN EXITS

Aspen Insurance Holdings has announced David Cohen, who leads the group’s insurance arm, has left the business. Cohen joined Aspen in 2015 as president and chief underwriting of Aspen Insurance. He took over day-to-day management of the insurance business in January 2018 following the departure of Aspen Insurance chief executive Stephen Postlewhite after the division posted significant underwriting losses. Cohen will be succeeded by Bruce Eisler, who has also been appointed chief executive of Aspen US. In addition, Richard Milner, who joined the company in February 2020, has been named chief executive of Aspen UK, subject to regulatory approval. Separately, Aspen Insurance Holdings has also appointed Theresa Froehlich to its board as a non-executive director. The appointment is in addition to Froehlich’s roles as chair of Aspen Insurance UK and non-executive director of Aspen Managing Agency.
