EVEREST NAMES JAFARI AS DIRECTOR OF ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS

The Everest Insurance division of Bermudian re/insurer Everest Re Group has appointed Yashar Jafari as director of its Alternative Solutions Group to head the newly formed tax liability underwriting team. He is based in the group’s New York office. Jafari joins after spending eight years working in transactional and mergers & acquisitions tax law, most recently serving as director of global transaction tax and the Alvarez and Marsal consulting firm. He previously served as mergers & acquisitions tax manager at KPMG and senior transaction tax consultant at Ernst & Young.
