Despite significant efforts to improve diversity andinclusion, the legal industry continues to lag behind many other sectors.As one example, women remain underrepresented in the legal profession despitethe fact that women make up more than half of the students enrolled in lawschool. And the number of women in senior leadership roles, such as partner andlead counsel roles, is even lower. Racial and ethnic minority groups, andlesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals, are alsounderrepresented in the legal industry.
