AON COMPLETES INCORPORATION MOVE TO IRELAND
Aon has completed its move from the UK to Ireland, ahead of its merger with Willis Towers Watson. On Wednesday Aon said it
had completed the move of the jurisdiction of incorporation for the firm’s parent company to Ireland, effective April 1, 2020.
In connection with the transaction, Aon exchanged outstanding Class A ordinary shares of the public limited company incorporated
in England, for the Class A ordinary shares of the new Irish-domiciled parent company, named Aon plc. Class A ordinary shares
of the new Irish-domiciled parent company began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on the same day. In September 2019,
Aon agreed an all-share $30bn deal to acquire Willis, although the deal is not expected to complete until next year.
